Skagit Valley recently lost one of its most generous and caring residents last week with the passing of Pat Grenfell. Pat was a staple of this community and a long-standing member of Youthnet's Board of Directors. She sat on many Boards, participated in the Rotary, and was a former educator and businesswoman who faithfully supported the children and families of this community. Her strength, kindness, tenacity, work ethic and wisdom served our community well.
Pat was a champion for children and cared deeply for all in need that passed her way. She fought hard to ensure others needs were met while never complaining about her own. We are deeply grateful to Pat for her selflessness and willingness to always stand up, volunteer, and help out. She was usually the first to arrive and the last to leave, and she always greeted everyone in the room with a fond "hello." She knew everyone and cared about everyone. We will miss you Pat. Rest in peace and thank you for the difference you made to the lives of so many.
